Qualification Details

Eligible to apply are individuals with a PhD, and priority will be given to applicants who graduated within three years before the application deadline. The fellow must have a PhD in a relevant area such as neuroscience, stem cells science or tissue engineering and should have technical expertise in histology, cell culture, and molecular biology. Prior experience in surgery on small animals is essential. The candidate should be proficient in spoken English and have prior experience of writing reports/manuscripts in English.

Responsibilities/Job Description

A postdoctoral fellowship is now available at the Laboratory of Neural Repair and Cellular Therapy which consists of basic scientists and clinical researchers who have their principal research interests in regenerative medicine, with particular focus on the spinal cord injury and peripheral nerve injury. Projects involve work with stem cells and biomaterials using both in vitro and in vivo model systems. The applicant will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects and will be encouraged to actively develop new lines of research in the field.
