Qualification Details

Your profile

  • Proven academic level, e.g., in social sciences such as psychology or educational sciences, or in the direction of economics with statistical courses;
  • Proven general knowledge on assessment and/or affinity with statistics/psychometrics;
  • Excellent and proven written and oral proficiency in English (level C1);
  • Experience with posting content to a learning management system (preferably Canvas) and assessment system (preferably TestVision);
  • Experience or currently employed as a teacher or educational development assistant at a university is a plus;
  • UTQ certified is a plus.

  • You are analytical and accurate.
  • You work independently, but also like to work together, able keeping the 'we-feeling';
  • You have a highly developed rational ability and work in a solution-oriented manner;
  • You have a feeling for language, but also for numbers.

Responsibilities/Job Description

There is a vacancy available at the Teacher Development department of Tilburg University for the position of assessment assistant for the duration of 2 years. Teacher Development is a department that consists of professionals who are engaged in teacher professionalization or teacher support and who think it is important to help our teachers and professors in the best possible way.

Within the context of teacher professionalization, we are looking for a teacher (UFO level 4) or Educational Development Assistant (UFO level 4) who can carry out tasks under the supervision of the two assessment specialists. Tasks like reviewing portfolios of participants of the university teaching qualification (UTQ) with regards to assessment, co-developing workshops on assessment, checking the quality of assessments by means of checklists, making assessment support materials such as scripts for knowledge clips.Depending on the knowledge and expertise on assessment, and mastery of the English language, it is also possible to give workshops on assessment, and to record knowledge clips.

Ideally, you will start working for Tilburg University on June 1, 2022.

About the Employer:

Note

This is a position for 0.35 FTE – 0.4 FTE (14 – 16 hours per week) of the full-time working week.

The salary amounts to a minimum of € 2,979 and a maximum of € 4,490 gross per month for full-time employment contract, based on UFO profile Educational Development Assistant level 3 of 4 and salary scale 9-10 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. Tilburg University uses a neutral salary system for scaling that is based on relevant education and work experience.

This is a vacancy for a temporary position to replace to replace a detached colleague in accordance with Article 2.3, paragraph 6 sub b of the CLA for Dutch Universities. You will be given a temporary employment contract for the duration of 24 months.

You are entitled to a vacation allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual income. If you work 40 hours per week, you will receive 41 paid days of leave per year.
