Qualification Details
In order to be eligible for the position you need a PhD degree in the broad field of Life Science and experience from working in a modern molecular biology laboratory. Further, you need experience from an international and interdisciplinary work environment. It is meritorious if you have experience working as a research engineer/technician within life science and experience of the chemical management system and the risk assessment tool KLARA. We are looking for a team player that can prioritize within your own work as well as collaborate with other memebers in the research group. The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in English. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of Swedish.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Your work will include technical support and support for research activities in SysBio labs. Examples of work tasks: instrument maintenance, work with lab safety and risk assessments, inventory and maintenance of stocks of chemicals and consumables, mananging deliveries of goods and bookings of instruments, updating lab routines, organization of tasks and coordination and interfacing with lab users. Working hours are those of a full-time position, 40 hours a week.

About the Department/Section/Group
The Chalmers division of Systems and Synthetic Biology(SysBio) is an interdisciplinary and international working environment, with 9 research groups and >100 employees and students. We work with fundamental questions in biology and develop applications in the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine. Examples of research fields active at SysBio is: molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, computational biology, nanotechnology, metabolic engineering. The division comprizes of two sections, one computational (dry lab) and one experimental (wet lab). The working language is English.
