Qualification Details

We expect that you have administrative experience and preferably at a university or in an academic environment, if possible with KU systems knowledge. You must be able to work well in different IT systems and have the ability to think outside of the box when faced with challenges. You should thrive in a dynamic international environment and adapt well to a fast pace and to ever-changing conditions. It is important that you are a highly organized team player with the ability to work independently as required and have a positive approach to your tasks. You speak and write both English and Danish fluently.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The Center includes a small administrative team supporting the researchers and students. This is where the position is based. The admin team is important part of ensuring that the center is a well-functioning research facility.

The work include assisting the scientific staff in general in tasks like:

  • meeting planning
  • organizing seminars
  • on- and off-boarding of staff
  • organizing visits from abroad including delegations
  • handling courier mail shipping
  • administrative support within some of our research projects
  • Ad hoc tasks

We guarantee that no two days will be alike.

Besides the local administrative team you will also be a part of the administration at NBI with colleagues in similar positions.

About the Department

The Center provides a vibrant scientific environment with cutting-edge research performed across many different groups in fundamental condensed matter physics. It comprises materials research, experimental solid-state physics, quantum nanoelectronics, and condensed matter theory. In addition we have longstanding collaborations with industry. The Center is part of the Niels Bohr Institute, which has played a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of quantum physics for the past century.

You will be a part of a world-leading research environment. QDev is a fun, dynamic and international workplace, which offers possibilities for personal and professional development. You will be a part of a well-established local admin team who strives for doing good administrative support while having fun at work. You will work very independently but be supported by helpful colleagues. You have a big influence on how you go about your tasks and planning.

The position is fulltime 37 hours pr. week and is available from 1 February 2022 or upon agreement and will end on November 30, 2023.

The Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and it officers in the state. The salary will be on grade 3.1 or 3.2 depending on qualifications. Negotiation for a personal salary supplement is possible.
