Qualification Details

  • Candidates with a strong background and hands-on experience in Molecular Biology Technology, Cell Biology, cell culture and flow cytometry will be considered.
  • Training and certification to work with animals will be a plus.
  • Candidates are expected to collaborate closely with scientists at the Immunology department and within the Erasmus MC, be highly motivated and have a team spirit.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The Department of Immunology at Erasmus University Medical Center is inviting applicants for a technician A position to study neoantigen vaccines cancer in a KWF funded project. The goal of this study is to develop a peptide based vaccine that target tumors. The candidate will perform flow-cytometry, animal work and molecular biology.

The Department of Immunology performs cutting edge basic and translational research, participates in patient care by performing laboratory diagnostics (Laboratory for Medical Immunology) and supporting Clinical Immunology, and performs a wide range of educational activities. Major research focuses in the department span molecular to clinical immunology and includes the development and function of innate and adaptive immunity, autoimmunity, immune deficiencies, immunity to infection, neuroimmunology, and lymphoid malignancies. The department has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that support basic and translational research. The department is involved in multiple International Consortia and networks, which facilitate innovation and rapid implementation of new immunological concepts and technologies.

  • The gross monthly salary amounts a maximum of € 3.675,- (scale 7M), depending on your level of education and relevant experience and based on a full-time working week of 36 hours.
  • Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a induvidual travel expense package.
  • Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
