Qualification Details

  • You hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science, or a related discipline, and have a background in additive manufacturing technologies (preferably in polymer 3D printing process).
  • You have experience in material characterization techniques such as microstructural and mechanical analysis;
  • You have a track record of productive and creative research, as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals;
  • You have excellent writing and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with an international scientific audience;
  • You have the capacity to manage different projects, priorities, and tight deadlines;
  • You have an ability to work independently, participate creatively in collaborative teams, and adapt to ever-changing needs.

Responsibilities/Job Description

Currently, many novel innovative materials and manufacturing methods are developed in order to help businesses for improving their performance, develop new products, and also implement more sustainability into their current processes. For this purpose, additive manufacturing (AM) technology has been very successful in the fabrication of complex shape products using novel high-performance, and functional materials with more sustainable aspects.

We are seeking a Researcher who will support the research staff for further development in the 3D printing of smart materials. The applicant requires a background in AM techniques and material characterization processes. The researcher will collaborate closely with experts from different disciplines in both industry and academia, and also contribute to proposal writing, and project management during this period. This would be a great opportunity to strengthen your professional skills and expand your network in this field.

About the Employer:


  • Full-time position for a period of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
  • A gross salary between € 2.846,- to € 4.474,- per month for a full-time position, depending on experience.
  • An annual holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
  • Minimum of 29 leave days in case of full-time employment.
