Qualification Details

  • You hold an HBO bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (HBO ICT- software engineer or Technische Informatica).
  • You are interested in the domain of Industry 4.0, specifically in the focus area of Digital Twinning and User interfacing.
  • Highly collaborative and enjoy working in closely knit teams.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.


  • You are skilled at prototyping, developing and testing the front and back-end of applications.
  • You can write effective APIs.
  • You have skills in multiple programming languages and libraries (e.g., HTLM/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, C#, Java, R, Python).
  • You have knowledge on hardware-software coupling.
  • You have a good understanding of UX/UI.
  • You are skilled at communicating the project results to non-technical people[AL(1] .
  • You have the capacity to manage priorities and tight deadlines.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch (or are willing to learn Dutch in a short time).

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Work on multiple projects of varying objectives and problems.
  • Develop further knowledge and competencies in the field of UX/UI and back-end development.
  • Support in designing project proposals for industry.

The Fraunhofer Project Center at the University of Twente (FPC@UT) is an alliance between the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Germany, the University of Twente, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. It is a young, fast growing environment fully focused on Industry 4.0/Smart industry technologies and solutions for production.

  • The gross monthly salary starts at €2.836 till € 4.474 max. and is based on Fraunhofer Project Center framework and is depending on experience and education.
  • A holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
  • Minimum of 29 holidays in case of fulltime employment.
