Qualification Details

We are looking for a person who is about to finish his/ her master’s degree or have a master’s degree in economics with a focus on environmental economics or have equivalent education. It is a requirement to communicate with ease in speech and writing in both Swedish and English and have good ability to write and proofread texts. Since the work involves many contacts with researchers and external stakeholders, it is necessary that the holder of the position is good at collaborating both within and outside the department and is able to work proactively and efficiently in a multinational work environment. Knowledge and experience of working with Swedish and international environmental policy is considered a merit. Experience of having previously worked with similar tasks as this position is also meritorious. Experience in data analysis, econometrics and statistical software is an advantage. Great importance will be attached to the ability to take own initiatives, organize, work independently and to personal suitability.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The job assignments include assistance in various projects at the Unit for Environmental Economics, at the Department of Economics. The unit conducts research on the environment, climate, natural resources and sustainable development. The holder will primarily work on projects that concern optimal design of policy instruments and the drivers of attitudes towards climate actions. Main tasks include data collection and analysis, writing reports, literature studies, information gathering, fact checking, proofreading and administration.
