Qualification Details

Applicants should hold a Master’s Degree in physics or similar topic and should have experience with

  • Short pulse generation in the IR using a holocore fibre
  • Use of a non-collinear OPA for short pulses in the visible.
  • FROG characterization of ultrafast pulses
  • Pump-probe spectroscopy of quantum materials at low temperatures.

Responsibilities/Job Description

You will:

  • Be responsible for the operation of one of our femtosecond laser systems.
  • Perform pulse characterization measurements and maintain the laser system.
  • Perform low temperature pump probe measurements on a range of systems.
