Qualification Details
We are looking for a flexible candidate in terms of availability in time. So If you are in the final months of studying but are available for two days a week, perfect. We are looking for someone who is pro-active and can work independently. Preferably you have taken or are currently in the research master Psychology or Brain and cognitive sciences, or otherwise the masters Brain and Cognition in Society, or the master Klinische Neuropsychologie at the UvA, so that you are familiar with our research.
- Graduated or doing relevant master, preferably one of our own masters;
- Enthusiastic about neuroscience or clinical neuropsychology;
- Pro-active, friendly, helpful, good communicative skills;
- You have good organizational skills (planning appointments etc);
- You are accurate and have patience;
- You have a good command of English and preferably also of Dutch;
- Preferably, but not necessarily, you have experience with any of the following techniques: EEG, MEG, fMRI, brain stimulation (e.g. TMS, tDCs).
Responsibilities/Job Description
You will work together with multiple researchers from the department who study the mechanisms underlying human perception and cognition in a diverse range of projects and experiments. You will be responsible for the recruitment and handling of participants, inclusion and exclusion procedures, schedule appointments, informed consent procedure, as well as the explanation of the experimental protocols and procedures during testing days. You will also be involved in the training of other students who need to conduct behavioral, clinical and neural studies.

The position concerns (temporary) employment of 15-19 hours a week until 31 December 2022 maximally. For this position the University Job Classification profile student assistant applies.
Depending on your study year, the minimum salary is €2,310 and the maximum salary is €2,511 gross per month based on a 38-hour working week, as per the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities. We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
