Qualification Details
To be qualified for the position, you must hold a doctorate or an equivalent foreign degree within the relevant research domain. A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline provides a useful qualification. Candidates who have been awarded a doctoral degree at an earlier date may also be considered if there are special grounds, for example, different types of statutory leave of absence.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities/Job Description
The research area is about using design as a creative development force to bring about change within an area or society at large. It includes an understanding of behavioral design and a foundation in practice-based design research where knowledge is developed through design work. Today's challenges include, for example, digitalisation and climate change, which require new solutions that support people in more conscious choices. The project includes exploring design as a development force for a sustainable society. The research must take place in harmony with and in close relation to the design area, teaching and society. As an applicant, you are invited to submit preliminary ideas on the focus of research that suits your interests and your skills.
The duties of postdoctoral fellows primarily comprise research. Teaching and pedagogical development work may be included in the duties, up to a maximum of 20% of the working hours. You will participate in and actively contribute to collaboration with both national and international collaborative partners as well as with research groups within and outside Luleå University of Technology. You will also have the opportunity to participate in applying for external funds.
