Responsibilities/Job Description

The position is a part of the Centre of Excellence, FAIR. Research in applied labor at FAIR focuses on understanding the drivers of inequality with a particular focus on how inequality develops over the life cycle from pre-school and even pre-natal, during school, and in the labor market and even across generations. The research groups work with population wide register data, and for this position there will be a special focus on combining register data with experimental and survey data to understand drivers of inequality. Both the labor group and the behavioral group will be involved in this effort. The labor group has many large research projects on inequality in general, including on childhood development, intergenerational mobility and crime. The new hire will be encouraged to work on these topics, but also to develop an individual research agenda in collaboration with the members of the research group. The position will involve moderate administrative duties.
