Responsibilities/Job Description

The primary focus of this research project is to investigate, develop, and demonstrate that time‐based control implemented in an integrated circuit can outperform both conventional analog and digital control in specific applications verified on actual silicon to demonstrate the feasibility of the time‐based control techniques. The project will include circuit modelling & IC design, tape-outs, and building & testing of prototype integrated circuits.Any candidate who:

  • has good grasps of analysis and synthesis of all kinds of switched capacitor power converter topologies
  • has experience in analog IC design, specifically in high-voltage design
  • has experience working on IC tape-outs
  • has solid experience in using Cadence Virtuoso (or equivalent EDA) tools
  • has experience in using PCB layout software
  • has experience with behavioural modelling of electronics systems
  • is familiar with simulation and scripting tools (LTspice, Matlab, Python etc.)
  • has good control and signal processing skills
  • has good experience in making laboratory prototypes, debugging, and testing integrated circuits and electronic circuits
  • is open-minded and teamwork oriented to strive for common ambitious goals
  • can communicate in English at a good level

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
