Qualification Details

As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities/Job Description

Current thermodynamic models, classical or advanced, have challenges in describing complex systems involved in biotechnology applications. In this project, the candidate will study the salt-in and/or salt-out effects of electrolytes for bio-related separations, including data collections and literature review for the state-of-the-art of molecular thermodynamic models for the chosen systems. In particular, scientific machine learning methods will be investigated as alternative approaches to represent these systems, with special focus on their use in computer-aided molecule and product design.

Responsibilities

The appointment will be at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (Center for Energy Resources Engineering). The project is carried out as a part of the ERC Advanced Grant (“New Paradigm in Electrolyte Thermodynamics”). The project aims at reconciling various modeling approaches for modeling electrolyte thermodynamics.

Salary and Terms of Employment
