Qualification Details

  • The applicant is required to have a PhD degree in  Automatic Control, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar  .
  • The applicant must have completed the degree no more than three years before the end of the application period.
  • Specific requirements for the position include good knowledge of robotics and AI.
  • The applicant should be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Qualifications that are considered to be a merit include knowledge of AI planning, optimization theory, and control.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The position is aimed at developing automated planning techniques for robotics systems. The developed algorithms will be applied to different application domains, including the construction industry. An ongoing collaboration with Skanska provides the main use cases that will drive the research development. The developed techniques should be generalizable to other contexts. The postdoc will work in close collaboration with Skanska, and with other PhD students working on related topics.

This postdoc position will have a significant impact on the ongoing collaboration with Skanska. The skills of this postdoc will be important also in other projects in collaboration with companies, e.g., ABB, Northvolt.

The postdoc will be hosted by the CORE group ( and will work closely with PhD students, senior researchers, and industrial partners in the group.

The position is a temporary employment of 2 years.
