About the Department/Section/Group

In the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS), three disciplines – electrical engineering, mathematics and computer science – come together. Combined, they reinforce each other and are the driving force behind the technology we use in our daily lives. Take the electricity grid as an example. This is being prepared for the future within our faculty. We are also working on a world in which humans and computers reinforce each other. To map disease processes using single cell data and to mathematically simulate giant ash plumes after a volcanic eruption. Within the Faculty of EEMCS there is a lot of room for groundbreaking research. We train innovative engineers and have excellent labs and facilities that underline our strong international position. In total, more than 1,100 employees and 4,000 students work and study in this challenging environment.
