Qualification Details

We are looking for a motivated, goal-oriented, independent, and proactive postdoctoral researcher in the field of medical technology or biomedical science who is enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary setting. You have excellent writing skills and able to play a central role in grant applications. You have good communication skills and can take initiatives to start collaborations within the institute as well as with other scientific or commercial partners. You have a keen interest to bring new technology to daily care. Mastering the Dutch language is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities/Job Description

Recently, The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in Amsterdam started the center for early cancer diagnostics. Within this center out patient diagnostics and research are strongly integrated. The center has the ambition to develop and promote new developments  within the field of early detection of cancer. The center closely collaborates with clinicians and researchers of the Netherlands Cancer Institute, but will also strive to start collaborations with researcher and clinicians of other institutions in The Netherlands or abroad.  Research topics will cover several fields, among others medical technology, biomedial research, image and data analysis as well as clinical implementation. For further development of the research agenda, we are looking for a post doctoral researcher able to survey the broad field of early cancer diagnostics. You will in close collaboration with clinicians and researchers, contribute to the further development of the research agenda of the center.

About the Employer:

Note or Other details

You will be employed for a period of 4 years. The gross salary for a fulltime appointment will range from € 3.922,- to € 4.391,- per month, depending on previous experience. The terms of employment will be in accordance with FWG 55 of the CAO Ziekenhuizen (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals). In addition you will receive a fixed end-of-year bonus in December (8,33%) and in May you will receive 8,33% holiday pay.
