Qualification Details

You have a position as medical specialist in a relevant special area e.g. acute medicine, nephrology, cardiology or clinical pharmacology and carry out independent research. You have both teaching and supervision experience and are able to build relationships based on trust with students, colleagues and partners. As a lecturer you communicate the newest and relevant knowledge in a committed, clear and comprehensible manner. As a supervisor you are competent, inspiring and supportive.  Experience with teaching in clinical pharmacology is an advantage.As a person, you are dedicated and possess excellent communication skills. You are ready to take co-responsibility for the development of the department’s educational programmes at the highest international level and for ensuring that we maintain a good work environment.We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English. In order to be assessed as qualified for a Clinical Associate Professor position, you must meet these academic criteria.

Responsibilities/Job Description

As Clinical Associate Professor of pharmacology, you will contribute to the department’s research and teaching environment and to the faculty’s overall research strategy. You will independently plan and undertake teaching within the department or section’s speciality area and applicable study plan. You ensure that your teaching maintains a high academic and didactic standard.Your main tasks will consist of:

  • Teaching, lectures, courses and the holding of exams.
  • Contributing to the development of new teaching activities.
  • Participation, in connection with the PhD degree programme, in assessment committees for PhD and higher doctoral degrees.
  • Supervision of students, assignments and assessment of written exam papers.
  • Participation in the assessment committees.

As Clinical Associate Professor, you undertake to perform an agreed number of lessons annually. You can be employed to perform between 15 and 60 hours of lessons annually. The 15 to 60 hours of lessons can be increased to between 25 to 100 hours of lessons annually, if you do not perform other tasks corresponding to a total of 50 to 200 hours per year.You will report to the Head of Department.
