Qualification Details

You must have a university degree (MSc or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You should have a keen interest, curiosity and passion for research. Experience in rotor dynamics, FEM and experimental validation is a merit. Applicants must master the English language in speech and writing. It is a merit to master the Swedish language, if you are not Swedish speaking it is expected that you will be interested to learn Swedish in the first two years. Since the education is within machine design it is a merit if you have experience from CAD. Responsibilities/Job Description

A doctoral position includes both theoretical and practical work. The doctoral student is trained in scientific work in the form of publishing scientific articles in journals and at national and international conferences. A doctoral student also takes compulsory and voluntary doctoral courses. In addition, you may have the opportunity to try out the teaching role. As a researcher, you work as a neutral party in many contexts, which provides an opportunity to learn how to run challenging development projects. In terms of research, the work consists of modeling, simulation and validation through physical experiments. The teaching consists of courses given on the subject, e.g. dynamics, CAD and product development.
