Qualification Details

  • You have a completed bachelor's and master's degree in social sciences, or demonstrable extensive work experience at this level;
  • You have an eye for efficiency;
  • You have excellent communicative and contact skills (orally and in writing) in the Dutch and English language;
  • You are result-oriented, accurate, involved, and enterprising;
  • You are very strong organizationally and can maintain an overview at all times.

Responsibilities/Job Description

We are looking for a Lecturer to join our department.

  • You will work closely with the internship coordinator and the academic director of the Department of Social Psychology.
  • You will assist in preparing and grading the internship reports and presentations that Master’s students (ca. 90 students) submit in the final stage of their education. This includes coordination and administration.
  • You contribute to the internship fair and can serve as a contact point for student deans (‘studentendecanen’) and Career Services.
  • You will coordinate (or assist in the coordination of) courses, and teach.
  • Specifically, we are looking for colleagues that have expertise in teaching basic and advanced courses in (Cross-)cultural Psychology, and practical courses on intercultural skills (to both psychology and non-psychology students).
  • You may also be called upon to supervise bachelor thesis students (depending on the general capacity in the department).

Fixed-term contract: 12 months, fixed-term.

Tilburg University offers excellent employment conditions with attention to flexibility and (personal) development and attractive fringe benefits.   The salary amounts to a minimum of € 2.960 and a maximum of 4.670 gross per month for full-time employment, based on UFO profile Lecturer 4 and salary scale 10 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.

Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system for salary scaling that is based on work experience.  You are entitled to a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual income. If you work 40 hours a week, you will receive 41 leave days per year.
