Qualification Details

  • You have a completed HBO or WO education.
  • You have experience and interest in supporting users of educational applications and you have technical knowledge in this area.
  • You have work experience in higher education
  • You have experience with or interest in process and project work
  • Experience with data dashboards, management information, and communication towards the various stakeholders is a big plus
  • You like to tackle, are decisive and you can switch quickly.
  • You enjoy working with colleagues on improvements in the support processes and at the same time you can operate independently.
  • You are a pleasant discussion partner at all levels, you easily make contact with various parties and you are convincing in your way of doing things.
  • You write and speak excellent Dutch and English.


Responsibilities/Job Description

Technology and education go hand in hand. Educators cannot do their job without digital education technologies in their courses and training.

You have the passion to help teachers deploy the right educational technology and you work from your accumulated knowledge and solution-oriented drive to support our team of student assistants in this.

The Teaching & Learning Services support team supports a wide range of teaching applications. When changes are made to applications, we as a team need to make sure that teachers know what this means for them. You do this by updating the website, training and coaching the service desk consisting of TU Delft students, and drawing up procedures to answer the complex questions of lecturers about the application of technology in education.

You are familiar with our processes and you continue to critically look for improvements. You organize the first-line service desk in collaboration with your colleagues, provide sufficient feedback and coach the service desk where necessary. You are an indispensable source of information for the service desk and your direct colleagues. Sometimes you contact a functional manager or other experts to come to a solution. Together we are 100% committed to ensuring that education receives the very best support, thereby making a significant contribution to the quality of education at TU Delft.

The (young) department has experienced a lot of growth in a short period of time and this is expected to continue. It is up to you and your colleagues to properly implement these changes and to continue to optimize the supporting processes.

You do this in our team, which consists of seven colleagues in addition to you. All experts in our field who get energy out of when a teacher is really helped. It can be hectic and dynamic with us, that's why we always help each other and do our work in a positive atmosphere. You also work a lot with the other teams within ESA, directorates such as Information Management and of course the faculties. Moreover, our team is growing in the coming period. This also gives you room to think about how we can do our work together as well as possible, with attention to personal development and a good work-life balance. Variety, room for your own ideas, in addition to independence, teamwork and quality, are the starting points of our friendly and professional team.

University Service - Education & Student Affairs

Education & Student Affairs (ESA) supports education by conducting education and student administration, coordinating educational policy, guiding and supporting (foreign) students and PhD students, providing (didactic) training, and providing educational advice and support, and offering sports & culture activities. ESA consists of the Education Service Centre, Academic Services, Extension School and X departments and has approximately 250 employees. ESA is known within TU Delft for the high quality of its services and has a proactive and solution-oriented culture.


About the Employer:

  • The employment is 1 year with a view to permanent .
  • A position of 32-40 hours per week.
  • A salary that is based on scale 9 from the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities with a minimum of € 2,979 and a maximum of € 4,093 gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
