Qualification Details

The suitable candidate is expected to have a university degree (preferably master or higher) in a related area. Being able to understand and explain underlying principles of image processing in the biology is a must. Proven programming experience in relevant languages like (e.g. Python, Java) and knowledge in deep-learning approaches for life sciences, as well as experience with databases and their management is an asset.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The person filling this position will extend the existing team in the field of image processing and image analysis. The postholder will in particular be responsible to maintain and support an image database (OMERO) for EPFL users. This will include interaction and support of end users, as well as development and implementation of long-term image data management strategies relevant for the EPFL research community.
