Qualification Details
We are looking for someone with extensive experience conducting and organizing fieldwork on songbirds, ideally with experience working with pied flycatchers (Ficedula hypoleuca) in the wild. The applicant must be able to capture, handle, and measure songbirds and experience organizing a field team. An essential skill is locating, identifying, and recording vocalizations from wild songbirds.
Responsibilities/Job Description
The applicant’s main resposibilities would be conducting and organizing fieldwork on songbirds at a nestbox breeding population at Tovetorp research station. Key tasks would be monitoring breeding, capturing, ringing and measuring adults and juveniles as well as recording songs and other vocalizations of individuals throughout the breeding season.
