Department of Strategy and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant postdoc position within the field of sustainability and resilience of Global Value Chains. Starting date as quickly as possible.

The postdoc position has a duration of 18 months with a possibility of an extension. The postdoc position is part of an EU funded project called TWIN SEEDS focusing on the sustainability and resilience of global value chains. The role of the postdoc will be to conduct literature review on the topic as well as collecting data through secondary sources, interviews and surveys as well as analyzing the data with different statistical tools. The postdoc will be part of a research team that work on the topic of sustainability and resilience.

The Department of Strategy and Innovation’s (SI) research focuses on strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship and international business. The department’s ambition is to host an internationally leading environment for research and teaching within the broad area of strategy. The department puts substantial emphasis on the solid application of scientific research method.

The department has 55 faculty members (professors, associate professors, and tenure track assistant professors), 7 administrative staff, and 30 members of staff who are hired on temporary contracts as research assistants, postdocs or PhD students.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have flair for research and conceptualization of findings, as well as being a good communicator. You can see through the essentials of a given case, take clear takeaways from complex information, and turn them into clear understandable tools and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

The following qualifications will count substantially in the assessment of the candidate:

  • Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team,
  • Enthusiasm for empirical research and theoretical curiosity,
  • An excellent academic record and work ethic,
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written), Proficiency in English, Enthusiasm for research is required,
  • Willingness to move to and live in Denmark.

Recruitment procedure:

The Recruitment Committee will shortlist a minimum of two applicants. If possible, five or more applicants will be shortlisted. The shortlisted applicants will be assessed by the Assessment Committee. All applicants will be notified of their status in the recruitment process shortly after the application deadline.

The applicants selected for assessment will be notified about the composition of the Assessment Committee and later in the process about the result of the assessment. Once the recruitment process is completed, each applicant will be notified of the status of their application.
