Qualification Details

You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree. You must have experience with synthesis and characterization of silicone-based elastomers as well as have a thorough understanding of mathematical modelling via courses such as advanced transport processes. Work experience (e.g. student job) within the field of polymer synthesis and polymer characterization is also required.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The topic is preparation of a polymeric artificial skin membrane with sweating capabilities for realis-tic measurements of ex-vivo transdermal drug delivery, and the ideal candidate should be curious and analytical with a background in polymer science and/or chemical engineering, ideally with knowledge on silicone-based materials.

Responsibilities

Your overall focus will be to strengthen the research centre’s knowledge on transdermal drug delivery by means of experimental work combined with mathematical modelling. You will work with nearby colleagues and be co-supervised by a professor from TUe, where you will also spend your external research stay. You will collaborate with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Conduct and evaluate transdermal drug delivery experiments
  • Supervise BSc and MSc student projects

Salary and Appointment terms
