About the Project

Third-cycle subject: Physics specialization Optics and photonics

Chip-based quantum optical circuits has radically impacted on the way we process quantum information and perform complex experiments. The applications where these circuits are predicted to enable quantum supremacy are numerous including communication, sensing, and cryptography to name a few. Integration of optical circuits provides means of miniaturization to efficiently combine elements of the quantum network on-chip.  Over the recent years a new class of hybrid quantum photonic systems has emerged, that overcomes the limitations of monolithic approaches to realize more complex quantum systems

Supervision: The doctoral student will be supervised by Associate Professor Ali Elshaari.
