Altogether, PSI employs 2200 people.For the Reactor Physics and Thermal-Hydraulics Laboratory we are looking for a Scientist Advanced Reactor Cores Analyses
- Qualification of state-of-the-art core analysis methods for SMRs and/or hexagonal core designs
- Development of advanced neutronic solvers for transient simulations in multiphysics frameworks
- Application of artificial intelligence techniques for validation and/or optimization of neutronics methods
- Technical and scientific support on core safety analyses for one of the Swiss reactors
- Preparation of scientific publications and technical reports
- Contributions to education activities and supervision of students
We are looking for a team player able to work independently and with strong interest in methods development, validation and uncertainty quantification. The candidate should have a strong background in neutron transport and reactor physics computational methods combined with high proficiency in programming and scripting as well as experience in nuclear fuel modelling and/or multi-physics analyses. Familiarity with basic data science and artificial intelligence practices would be an asset. Very good command of English is required and knowledge of German would be beneficial.
