- Relevant research experience documented by publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Relevant pre-graduate and post-graduate teaching experience
Danish language skills are not required initially, however, should be mastered within the first 2 years of employment.
Responsibilities/Job Description
The position as 20% Associate Professor is a university position (SDU) and the 30% position as Staff Physician is a hospital position (OUH).
The combined position involves research within the area of interest of the centre, professional development, research education, teaching, including exams, supervision, and assessment work within the field of evidence-based medicine. The distribution of time devoted to research, pre-graduate and postgraduate guidance and teaching, and administration is 50%:40%:10%.
The applicant must have documented research experience within the areas of evidence-based medicine, specially within the field of conflicts of interest and be qualified for a post as Staff Physician.
In addition, good cooperation skills will be expected in order to further the development of research in the areas mentioned above, both interdisciplinary as well as nationally and internationally. International partners are an advantage, but not a requirement.

About the Evidence-Based medicine
Cochrane Denmark (formerly the Nordic Cochrane Centre) and Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine Odense function as a joint research unit at the Department of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Denmark. Cochrane Denmark conducts research relevant for systematic reviews, promotes Cochrane, and supports authors of Cochrane Reviews in Denmark. The Centre for Evidence Based Medicine Odense (CEBMO) conducts research, teaches, and provides a methodological consultancy service.
Salary and terms of employment
The applicant for the position as associate professor will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) regarding the associate professorship and in accordance between the Danish Regions and the association of Specialist Physicians regarding the position as Staff Physician.
