Doctorate in Science or deemed equivalent.
Publications in high impact international journals. In principle, experiences of university teaching and of conducting interdisciplinary and collaborative international research, at the frontier of the natural and social sciences.
The person who applies for this position must be fluent in English and invest in learning French in order to be able to teach at bachelor level. This person will also have knowledge of high performance computing and the use of GPUs. It will be dynamic, open to interdisciplinary collaborations, able to have a rigorous theoretical approach, while being able to solve concrete problems. Experience in the analysis and modeling of social systems is strongly desired.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate academic excellence and the impact of their work nationally and internationally.

Computational diplomacy is a new field in the application of computing to social systems. The purpose of this position is to help build this field and develop innovative computer methods to describe, understand, predict the state of international relations, identify networks of influence, blockages, risks of conflict and Analyze the impact of various scenarios on the evolution of a given situation.
This position is part of a new laboratory dedicated to science for diplomacy. It is located in the center of international Geneva in connection with the main players in this field. The candidate will thus be required to work closely with a recently appointed colleague, whose objective is to analyze governance and international relations through the theory and application of complex systems.
This position is a full position, with teaching at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. The person who will be chosen must be able to teach basic computer science courses as well as advanced courses related to the specified field, namely data science, complex systems, artificial intelligence, in particular natural languages and computer vision, as well as modeling, simulation, and optimization methods.
This individual will develop cutting-edge research in the aforementioned topics and help build the field of computational diplomacy through innovative ideas, collaborations, and research fundraising.
