Responsibilities/Job Description

We seek a new colleague who is a dynamic researcher and teacher with a strong affinity for digital research methods and/or data science methods to critically examine the datafication of our culture and society.

We offer an inspiring research and teaching environment and foster innovative projects in research, teaching, and public engagement. We are seeking a new colleague to contribute to a critical and engaged perspective on processes of digitization, datafication, and algorithmisation of culture and society. For this, we work closely with various societal stakeholders.

Your research will be part of the research group Media & Performance Studies of the Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON). Moreover, this position offers you the possibility to collaborate with the Centre for Digital Humanities which hosts the Utrecht Data School and the Digital Humanities Lab, as well as with relevant players in media and cultural industries.
