We are looking for a Research Engineer in hematosis research.

The position

The study you will work in is about in vitro thrombosis models using flow chambers, fluorescence microscopy and image processing. It includes various experimental works in molecular biology and biochemistry. 

The person we need

We are looking for someone with a master in Experimental and Medical Bioscience, a master in Microbiology is meriting. The position requires experience in the field. 

You must have documented experience with the following techniques and methods:

  • Platelet isolation
  • Experience with flow chambers
  • Microscopy image analysis with ImageJ and python script
  • Flow cytometry
  • Fluorescence microscopy (wide field and confocal)
  • Data keeping and basic knowledge in MS-office

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

  • work with platelets or human cells
  • cell biology techniques
  • molecular biology techniques
  • to write scientific reports
  • to produce different types of graphs and statistics

Fluency in both spoken and written English is a must.

As a person, you are independent and structured. You take responsibility for your work and are characterized by good cooperation and communication skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

The workplace

You will work att the Division of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology (KKF), in Tomas Lindahl’s research group. The group is involved in research on basic and clinical studies in hemostasis, especially on blood clotting disorders. Tomas Lindahl is the group leader and the group consists of diffferent professions, such as doctors, researchers, PhD students and technical staff.

The Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV) is one of the university’s largest departments with operations primarily within the Faculty of Medicine. Our goal is to conduct education and research in medicine and biomedicine, with high international quality.

The employment
