Description of the workplace

The Molecular Pediatric Oncology research team at the Department of Laboratory Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine currently conducts translational cancer research. At present, the research team is working on neuroblastoma preclinical drug testing projects. The group is international and comprises research, administration and technical staff. Work duties and areas of responsibility

The research assignment consists in you independently conducting preclinical drug testing projects, under the leadership of the project manager. The project includes work with patient-derived in vitro and in vivo models of neuroblastoma, cell- and molecular biology techniques, preclinical drug testing assays and more. The work duties also comprise documentation and scientific writing. 

Qualification requirements 

The requirements for the position are:

  •  A doctoral degree in translational cancer research specialising in preclinical drug testing
  • Experience of research in neuroblastoma, patient-derived in vitro and in vivo models, combination drug testing
  • Experience of analyzing drug responses in vitro and in vivo, and transcriptome data
  • The ability to conduct independent research at an advanced level
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent analytical ability, drive and a good ability to collaborate

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • Experience with drug screening, synergy, testing and patient-derived model 
  • Previous experience of research in similar projects
